I was so glad see these stars carry over from an earlier small catalog. They are a classic!  Great for Christmas, Congratulations, Fourth…

Even though it is a quieter time for celebrating the holidays, it was special.  We enjoyed quiet time with family.

My oldest daughter visited from Iowa.  Pot roast is one of her favorite foods, so we made sure to have one ready when she arrived.  Fresh thyme from the garden!

We are trying to get into the habit of getting a walk in everyday.  Ideally, early before it gets too hot.  This is one of the positives of slowing down a bit and enjoying the things that we couldn’t find time for in the past.

We love having sunset s’mores on the fire table.  It is truly the
little things that make a BIG life.

Since our patio was just recently finished, Paul was able to try out his
new Traeger grill!  It was a HIT!

It was wonderful to sit down with our daughter and watch “Hamilton” and see what all the fuss was about.  What an amazing show!  So much talent!  Definitely watch it with the captions the first time, so you don’t miss anything.

Another fun summertime meal is to make personal homemade pizzas.
Take tortillas and top them with your favorites!
Cheese, mushrooms, pineapple, olives, pepperoni, pizza sauce…you name it!  Whatever you like on pizza.
Place on a cookie sheet and place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 – 20 min. (until the cheese melts)

Paul’s special sauce for hamburgers and pizza
*Fresh basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano (diced finely to release flavors)
*Minced garlic
*Dash of onion powder
*Olive Oil
*Smidge of Parmesan cheese (optional)
Stir ingredients

Bacon tastes great when cooked on the grill!
