#857 – Stepping it Up – Tues., June 2, 2020


I love the soft colors in these cards!!!  All three are beautiful, but each card as a little more detail/embellishment to “step it up”!  These cards were made using the “Gorgeous Posies” stamp set on p. 8 of the new 2020-21 SU catalog.  LOVE them!!!

Little Changes, Big Impact
How can you take a project from simple to stepped up? It’s as easy as adding an embellishment here and a technique there. Here’s the step-it-up story for our samples.
  • Simple (first sample). Use stamps, ink, paper.
  • A bit stepped up (second sample). Add a Crumb Cake Cardstock layer, Flowers for Every Season Gems, and Rococo Rose 1/2″ (1.3 cm) Scalloped Linen Ribbon; spatter the background using a Water Painter and ink.
  • Really stepped up (third sample). Stamp dots and more flowers, and swap the ribbon for Forever Greenery Trim; emboss the background using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder, and sponge on more color.
You can do the same for any project. Step it up by adding layers, embellishments, and color. What you do is up to you!

#856 – BOGO Sale – Mon., 6/1/2020


It is here!  The  2020-21 Stampin’ Up! catalog.  Many of you have already picked up your copy or received one in the mail!  It is always FUN to see NEW product and ideas!!!

BOGO sale – When you shop my BOGO sale, you get 50% credit to shop in the new catalog.  For example, you spend $50 buying my retired merchandise, you would then have a $25 credit to shop in the new catalog.  You would have until 8/31/2020 to use your catalog credit.

As we continue with different phases of businesses opening, I will host a “BOGO” retired sale this year.  It will be a little different than the past.  If you would like to shop in person, you can sign up for a time slot to shop from tables in my garage.  You will need to wear a mask, practice social distancing and get a squirt of hand sanitizer before entering.   Of course, if you are ill, you will want to skip the in-person and shop the online only.  You just need to message or email me, to let me know the date/time that works best for you.  The slots will be available on a  first come, first serve basis.  Just message me with your top time choices and I will get you scheduled!  Everyone loves a good deal!

#855 – Stamp Camp Projects – April 13, 2020

Today I’m sharing projects from the March 14, 2020 Stamp Camp.  The Huntley Park District called to let us know the day before (we were packed and ready to go) that the Park District would be closing until the end of March.  We tentatively rescheduled camp April 18th.  Once we realized that would not work as well, we decided the best decision was to mail out the cards to the registered campers.  Some of the projects use retired product (ex:  SAB).  If you were registered for camp, you should receive your packet any day now.

Our next Stamp Camp is scheduled for June 13th and will be featuring the new catalog, but we are playing it by ear.  If that does not work out, stay tuned.  I’m sure we will have some mail-out class options.  🙂
